Your Role

As a component engineer in submarine construction, you will play a central role in developing and managing our extensive component library. This includes ensuring that each component meets our high standards for functionality and maintenance, as well as working closely with designers and systems engineers. You will help create our technical component library, which forms the backbone of our submarine constructions - a role that requires both precision and creativity to solve complex challenges.

Today, Engineering Support consists of about 10 component and standard engineers. We have fun at work and balance focused work with good camaraderie. In addition to component management, the section also works with standardization, deviation management, pipe specifications, quality control, drawing activation - always with the goal of supporting the entire organization.

Your Profile

In the team, we welcome both senior and junior profiles. We believe that our next colleague has the following qualifications:

• Engineering degree preferably in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent.
• Is structured, meticulous, has an eye for detail, can deliver on time, and has critical thinking skills.
• Has good collaboration skills, is communicative, and can communicate fluently in Swedish and English in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if our next colleague has:

• Marine experience - Worked on board ships or submarines.
• Knowledge and previous experience in component management.
• Experience with PTC Creo Parametric and Windchill.
• Familiarity with national and international standards, or experience in close collaboration with purchasing and the supplier market.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
